1970                                        Bill's book published

 

1974-1975                               First doctoral dissertations done using the scheme (Lee Knefelkamp, Larry Copes, Carole Widick)

 

June, 1976                              Perry Conference, Ithaca College; organized by Fran Rosamond and Larry Copes, with help from Jim Heffernan of Syracuse University; main speakers included Bill Perry, Lee Knefelkamp, Carol Widick, and others

 

September, 1979                   Perry Network founded by Larry Copes, with support from the Lilly Foundation and Harvard University's Bureau of Study Counsel.  Under umbrella of ISEM (the Institute for Studies in Educational Mathematics) after it became a non-profit corporation in 1980.

 

October, 1979                        First newsletter appeared; continued twice a year under the editorship of Larry Copes through spring of 1988.

 

June, 1981                              Perry conference at Augsburg College, organized by Larry Copes

 

June, 1985                              Conference at Davidson College, organized by  John Griffiths, part of grant project called Project MATCH

 

June, 1988                              Gathering of the Perry Network at Augsburg College, organized by Larry Copes

 

July, 1988                               Bill Moore became coordinator of the Perry Network

 

December, 1990                    Conference in Washington, D.C., organized by Lee Knefelkamp and Bill Moore

 

1991                                        Madeleine Van Hecke assumes role of Newsletter editor

 

July, 1993                               Perry Conference, Seattle, organized by Bill Moore

 

1996                                        Madeleine van Hecke steps down as editor--Newsletter discontinued

 

1998                                        Jossey-Bass re-issues Perry's book

 

January, 2002                        Perry Conference, CSU-Fullerton, organized by Bill Moore and JoAnn Carter-Wells
